Bulletproof - Soundtrack to Forever - 31st May

Once again, it's that time of year in the Land Of The Long White Cloud. The month we all celebrate the blood, sweat and tears the hard-working musicians of our fair land pour into their art, as well as, if not just as importantly, the people that support them along the way.

One such artist is no newcomer to the realm of music production, with over 10 years under his belt destroying dancefloors the world over with his funk-laden bottom-heavy bass & beats, a 12" back-catalogue that would rival any Kiwi musician and a co-founder of New Zealand's first Drum And Bass label 'Cyanide Recordings.'

Although the name Bulletproof has become almost household in stature in any residence with a half-decent sub, until now it's been his Drum and Bass that has been making all the noise. This month we see a change in tack for Bulletproof, with his first full-length Dubstep album hitting shelves on the 31st.

"...“Soundtrack To Forever” is a journey through a year of Jay’s life. 2009 was a tumultuous year for him personally. His music is a direct reflection of these times. Love & loss, pain & joy. Good times and bad. All of these situations shaped and sculpted Bulletproof’s “Soundtrack To Forever” into the piece of musical art that it is. The album combines Jay’s solo works with collaborations with some of the A-List of New Zealand music talent. Names like, Tiki Taane, Boh Runga, Isaac Aesili and Deva Mahal. PNC, David Dallas, Milon Williams and Evan Kiljoy, not forgetting the cream of local Dubstep production, Optimus Gryme and Truth, and the upbeat sounds of leading UK indie dance heavyweights, Spektrum, making this album one of musical diversity never before seen in NZ future bass music."

For a little taster of what is to come, make sure you check the brand new video "Soundtrack To Forever" featuring Tiki Taane(above), which is our Dirty Featured Video this week. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
